For one of our clients we are looking for a Consultant for for Supply Chain Analytics


Overview:

Supply Chain Intelligence team is one of the enablers of a responsive supply chain. The remit of the team is to increase transparency and visibility of client products along the entire supply chain - by connecting data and systems, setting the foundation for advanced analytics / AI supported scenario planning & decision making.
Data and Analytics function has invested in new reporting infrastructure to enable near real time seamless reporting and to handle standard integration of new data feeds from new systems which impacts the work required to be done by Supply Chain Intelligence team as key focus is to rebuild in the new environment.


Purpose: of the project:

To deliver against the significant reporting transformation of Transitioning to a New Reporting Landscape by rebuilding the client global SCM reports from legacy environments with siloed backend (Exasol) to one consolidated data lake (Databricks) and moving from the MicroStrategy to Power BI front-end visualization tool. The client is therefore migrating existing reports towards new backend and front-end environments.
The client is also providing reporting capabilities for multiple new source systems (S/4 HANA, SAP IBP, TMS, GPS Migration, InfoNexus) merged with date form legacy systems, the data from these new systems will be ingested in the new reporting environment. Therefore, the cleint needs to build data products that combine data from existing and new source systems ready for go live of first market in Q3 2024


Summary:

For the delivery of the decommissioning plan from existing (Exasol and MSTR) by independently monitoring progress of the plan, identify risks and dependencies and provide an end-to-end view across all data sets and pillars (Supply, Availability & Inventory, Distribution & Delivery) considering all market impacts. Further details are listed below.
Dependencies management and mitigation for the reporting of the new system changes to cater for new data structures and identification of dependencies within workstreams. Further details are listed below.
Facilitate delivery of End-to-End SCM use cases, including enhancements, for migration from existing (Exasol and MSTR) to New (Databricks and Power BI) and new capabilities. Further details are listed below.
Independently provide project end to end project processes, tools, frameworks used for Supply Chain Intelligence use case delivery. Further details are listed below.


Tasks:

Manage the end-to-end decommissioning plan from existing (Exasol and MSTR) by monitoring progress of the plan, identifying risks and dependencies and provide an end-to-end view across all data sets and pillars (Supply, Availability & Inventory, Distribution & Delivery) considering all market impacts:
Proactively communicate risks to client via risk register to provide visibility on type of risk and mitigation. Update the risk register and share on a bi-weekly basis.
Proactively manage dependencies by identifying and applying findings (upstream and downstream) into the end-to-end plan. Identification is based on the contractor’s expertise. Update the risk register and share on a bi-weekly basis.
Track & update end-to-end timelines overview within Smartsheet, facilitate cross-workstreams dependencies by identifying which activity from one workstream or an upstream activity have an impact on timelines of another, propose mitigation or workaround for the new systems reporting.
Independently create a project delivery plan in Smartsheet for the SCM Lead time use case, track progress, mitigate risks and update plan accordingly based on delays that cannot be mitigated. Provide onboarding documentation via PowerPoint and monitor the hyper care process by tracking what has been logged, assigning to someone to work on and track if closed or still open. Provide weekly update via Smartsheet and email on status of hyper care process. Send communication via email of final status once hyper care period is completed (it is a period of 4 to 6 weeks).
Independently create project delivery plan for the SCM Executive Scorecard use case which are report capabilities (they are called use cases, it’s a standard term), track progress, mitigate risks and update plan accordingly based on delays that cannot be mitigated. Provide onboarding documentation via PowerPoint and monitor the hyper care process by tracking what has been logged, assigning to someone to work on and track if closed or still open. Provide weekly update via Smartsheet and email on status of hyper care process. Send communication via email of final status once hyper care period is completed (it is a period of 4 to 6 weeks)
Drive communication approach (Viva Engage and SCM Community teams calls) for the SCM Reporting Community by identifying key communication moments, audience, message, and frequency based on the contractor’s expertise and execute with end-to-end in mind by connecting dots between various topics that the contractor is working on and determining the impact.
Provide a solution for and create project end to end project processes, tools, frameworks used for Supply Chain Intelligence use case delivery and share with internal SC Intelligence pillars (SC Intelligence, Data Transformation, Analytics Acceleration, Analytics Delivery Integration). Creation is based on the contractor’s expertise.
Independently create a project implementation plan for the SCM data quality roadmap, track progress, mitigate risks and update plan accordingly based on delays that cannot be mitigated. Provide visibility to SC Data Transformation pillar by sharing the content with the client PowerPoint and Smartsheet.
The performance of the contractor has the goal of tracking and providing visibility for the delivery of all Supply Chain Intelligence capabilities (re-build and new system changes), while proactively and independently managing risks and dependencies.

TIMELINES:

The Services will be delivered according to client’ schedule.
For South Africa go-live for SAP IBP and SAP S/4 for SCM reporting on 01.08.2024
For GPS migration reporting on 31.08.2024
For decommissioning datasets (Purchase Order, Available to Promise, Inventory Stock Movement, Purchase Requsition, Material Requirement Planning, Allocation Run) by 30.09.2024
