Hello there. I would like to believe that engineering is not a profession but a way of life. Every day I try to build myself over this belief. One of the hardest challenges was to merge old and forgotten technology (like Fox Pro) with new ones. One of the hardest projects I worked on was a web application that calculates employees' salary. The challenge was to design a way to dynamically change the formula the salary is based on, when needed and without recompiling or modifying the application. The solution that i found was to store the formula in a database as "atoms" and to use them in a reverse polish notation algorithm to calculate the employees's salary. Worked as a charm...
