In my role, I specialize in developing standards and processes for Windows Server and infrastructure services on a global scale. My primary responsibility is to deliver world-class operational services, ensuring the seamless support and maintenance of back-office services. I play a crucial role in supporting the overall IT strategy by both introducing new services and optimizing existing ones. As part of my duties, I provide guidance and governance to diverse regions, fostering a collaborative environment. I actively participate in the implementation of cutting-edge services, contributing to their installation, integration, testing, documentation, and training processes. This includes assisting in the deployment of new technology and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations. A significant aspect of my work involves administrating Azure platform services, handling tasks such as creating, deleting, and updating services based on requests from the development team. I also manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), creating, deleting, and updating user permissions. Furthermore, I am adept at creating instances, modifying resource parameters, and installing software in coordination with application stakeholders. Security is a top priority, and I collaborate with the security team to install antivirus software, respond to security incidents, and schedule and monitor backups in adherence to organizational policies. I actively troubleshoot operating system-related issues, manage patches, and ensure high availability for critical services. In the realm of cloud networking, I design subnets, maintain security groups and firewall rules, configure routing tables, and create and manage load balancers. Additionally, I monitor connectivity links between on-premise and cloud tenancy, troubleshoot network-related issues, and monitor audit logs. Managing resources efficiently, I optimize compute-related billing by tracking usage and maintain a comprehensive inventory in a centralized location. I create and extend volumes as needed, monitor storage usage, and fulfill restore requests. Identity management is a key responsibility, involving creating users/groups, integrating cloud services with existing identity services, and implementing access policies. Documentation is a cornerstone of my approach, involving the preparation and regular update of documentation for the existing cloud setup. I actively review and implement disaster recovery plans, ensuring the overall security of the cloud tenancy. Cost optimization is a continuous focus, involving monitoring resource usage and implementing measures to optimize costs. In the realm of virtual desktop infrastructure, I contribute to the design, architecture, implementation, deployment, integration with existing systems, automation and orchestration, performance monitoring and optimization, security and compliance, and comprehensive documentation. Specifically, with Azure Virtual Desktop, I am involved in solution design, implementation, automation, monitoring and optimization, security and compliance, and documentation efforts. In summary, my role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from core infrastructure management to cutting-edge cloud and virtual desktop solutions, all aimed at delivering high-quality, secure, and efficient IT services on a global scale.
