Python developer - SDET - QA Automation

Performanță personală

I've been working in Python for the past 10 years, both professionally and as a hobby. Jan 2020 - present - Python backend developer for a US Healthcare project. I took over an existing backend code using Python, Nameko, RabbitMQ, MySQL and SQL text queries in code. Single-handedly migrated the code to FastAPI, MySQL on AWS Aurora, SQLAlchemy ORM. Implemented a Python multithreaded Python server for serving hosted artefacts (multimedia files, documents etc.). Integrated AWS S3 hosting for the hosted files. Integrated Twilio and AWS Pinpoint for messaging. Implemented ELK (Elasticsearch-Logstash-Kibana) for logging. Nov 2018 - Nov 2023 - Automation Tech Lead at Bytex Technologies - provided tech support for 15 automation engineers. I worked on a project called Candid for Cisco. Technologies used include: Python, Robot Framework, Pytest, Selenium, Docker, MySQL, Kubernetes, GoLang, Jira, Jenkins. I interviewed over 100 candidates for roles requiring Python and/or test automation skills. Jan 2015- Nov 2018 - QA Automation Engineer at Bitdefender, using Python and an in-house testing framework. I've used Bamboo (for CI/CD), Jira (for bug tracking), TestLink and then TestRail (for test management). I plan to learn Go (I already worked with Go for aprox. 6 months in the past), Rust and Kotlin. I am not proficient in Java or C++ but I can create small tools in these languages to make my life easier. I created 2 Android applications on request using Java, but I plan on learning Kotlin.
